Swainbees Nursery first opened its doors in 2003 in the village of Swainby. In 2007 we moved to our present premises, The Village Hall in Potto, North Yorkshire. We have sole use of the Village Hall during our nursery sessions and a dedicated outdoor experience area, which was officially opened my the Rt Hon William Hague in 2010. Swainbees is run by a parent committee and managed by an experienced and highly qualified management team, with the support of experienced and qualified staff. We have excellent links with the local schools in the area—Hutton Rudby Primary School and Swainby & Potto Primary School. We are a member of Playgroup Network and registered with both Ofsted and the Local Education Authority for the provision of Early Years Education for birth to 5 year olds. "Children are well cared for by a small, consistent and caring staff team. There is a strong emphasis on inclusive practice within the setting, and this ensures that everyone feels welcome, respected and valued." - Ofsted 14/11/2008 In our recent Ofsted report, we achieved ‘Outstanding’ in 4 areas and received on overall judgment of ‘Good’.
